Outpost Ice Arena has a complete Figure Skating Program that includes skaters from basic skills to senior level competitors.
We have specific Figure Skating Sessions for lessons and practice. A calendar of sessions is published each month. Most sessions are designated “Open” meaning skaters of basic skills Freestyle 1 level or higher may skate. All disciplines (Freestyle, Moves in the Field, and Dance) are allowed. Skaters of a lower level may skate with the permission of the Figure Skating Director. Some sessions (usually in summer) can be designated for a specific level or discipline.
Private Lessons may be booked on these sessions or Public Sessions. The Albuquerque Figure Skating Club conducts Test Sessions under US Figure Skating guidelines regularly so skaters may advance their competitive level. AFSC also hosts a competition in July giving our skaters a chance to compete locally.
